Help destigmatise depression and promote mental wellbeing with the first Sunrise Walk for Wellbeing - a 6km walk to kick off Mental Health Awareness Week that starts in the dark and finishes with the sunrise. 

Join us on Saturday 8 October at 6am for a 6:15am start (Sunday 9 October, if wet).

Start and finish at Golf Club car park.

Meet at the Nelson Golf Club Carpark, 38 Bolt Road, Tahunanui, Nelson. Please park on Bolt Road. No dogs or bikes, sorry.

Don't forget to wear something yellow!

The event is free, however donations/koha are most welcome. All proceeds from the walk will be donated to Supporting Families in Mental Illness, Nelson.

After the walk, stay around for some light refreshments, music by Bryce Wastney and a few words by a Nelsonian on his own journey through depression.

There will be mental health help and advice available after the walk.
