CME - How will technology change general practice?

  • Nelson Bays Primary Health 281 Queen Street Richmond (map)

As part of the College's GP - Heart of the Community seminar series, the Nelson-Marlborough Faculty warmly invites you to join fellow College members for a collegial catch-up and presentation on technology in general practice by Arturo Pelayo.

Arturo lends his expertise as an innovation strategist. This role has him working with organisations in Germany, the USA, Mexico and New Zealand, helping them to meet the challenges of unstoppable change in a positive and proactive manner.

In a recent interview with The Spinoff, Arturo touched on the opportunities for equal accessibility that technology affords a developing world.

“Rather than hacking existing systems for accessibility purposes, Pelayo demands his developers design for accessibility first…a minimum viable product provides a foundation on which the rest of the user base can operate.” – Don Rowe, The Spinoff

Attendees will consider how technology is changing general practice and the primary healthcare sector, identifying opportunities and barriers, and developing a mandate for change.

Arturo is an avid futurist, and attendees will no doubt enjoy discussing the potential and scope for innovation in general practice and primary healthcare with him

This is a free event for College members.

Nibbles will be served from 6.30pm - 7.00pm, with the presentation running from 7.00pm - 8.00pm
