 Registered  Nurse - Casual

Golden Bay dynamic practice rural practice which incorporates an acute service, general practice and aged care .We  are currently looking for casual Registered Nurses for all specialties of nursing.

In this  role you will  be exposed to acute medical nursing and after hours emergency care.

 To be eligible applicants must:

· Have General Nursing experience, aged care experience an advantage

· Be available for full rostered shifts.

Nurse Practitioner - 0.8 FTE Golden Bay Community Health

Golden Bay Community Health is looking for a registered Nurse Practitioner to join our general practice in beautiful Golden Bay. 

We are a practice that strongly supports the Nurse Practitioner role.

Golden Bay Community Health (GBCH) has a family friendly work environment and as such the hours can be negotiable to work around children and family commitments. We envisage this role to be 0.8 FTE (64 hours per fortnight)

GBCH is an integrated health facility that is unique, with a General Practice, urgent care, Aged Residential Care Beds, Acute Beds, Palliative, and respite. We have an extensive multi-disciplinary team at the centre of General practitioners, practice nurses, registered nurses, district nurses, allied health and extensive support staff. We are focussed on providing high quality care to our enrolled population and to the large number of visitors to the region. Permanent General Practitioner with Teaching role in Rural General Practice

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a special interest in teaching to join our team at Golden Bay Community Health.   

This is a permanent post of 24-32 hours per week (flexible) with additional on call.

The on call component covers after hours Mon-Fri and weekends and is a 1:7 roster.

As an integrated healthcare facility, GP sessions are interspersed with management of acute presentations and we offer arrange of services on site including x ray and simple fracture management, thrombolysis, IV treatments.  Additionally, we have five acute beds, providing acute, hospice, and respite care for our community.

 The post also includes on-call responsibilities designed to maintain 24-7 medical cover for the community (approx. 1 in 7) - rural ACC and PRIME contracts apply.

 Additionally, there will be appropriate time allocated for taking the lead in teaching medical students, house surgeons and GP registrars.

The successful applicant will be employed by Nelson Bays PHO and salaried according to experience. This includes 6 weeks annual leave; 2 weeks study leave and a generous educational allowance.

We require:

 24-32 hours (0.6-0.8 FTE)

1 in 7 on call - week nights and weekends 

PRIME trained & current Level 7 ACLS.

Teaching interest/experience

Fellowship with RNZCGP or equivalent, or on the pathway towards Fellowship

 We prefer:

Rural experience, although a thorough orientation will be provided.
