Lactation Consultant and Breast Feeding Support
Our lactation Consultant assists women with breastfeeding issues when a health professional involved in their care request further input. Appointments are one on one and are either at the hospital maternity unit or in the community.
Alternatively there is also a group of mothers who are able to offer guidance, reassurance and support to mums in their early days of breastfeeding or at any stage where they feel they need some extra help. These women are trained volunteers in the Mum4Mum Program, no referral is needed.
