Healthy Toddlers Programme

Once a week for the last few months the Richmond Town Hall has been transformed into a circuit with gym mats, bars and trampolines and toddlers were able to practise basic skills like kicking, catching, jumping and balancing.

It is the first time a programme aimed at preventing obesity in toddlers has been rolled out in Nelson as statistics show the rate of obesity is on the rise with 1800 children in the region considered obese.
