The Joint Programme is a service designed for those who want to learn how to manage their osteoarthritis better.

This one-off, 3-hour session delivers easy-to-understand information on a variety of topics that will increase your confidence so you feel empowered to take control.

The session includes:

  • Managing your weight through healthy eating
  • Practical ways to remain active
  • Learning how your pain relief medication works and why it's prescribed

 

The service is delivered by Green Prescription and Falls Prevention staff who are peer-supported by the Rheumatology Nurse Specialist and the Persistent Pain Service.

 

The session is totally free of charge but bookings are essential.

  • Adults and children referred by their health professional e.g. family doctor, nurse, Plunket, Public Health Nurse, Maori Health Provider etc.
  • Must meet specific health condition criteria
