Debbie Harrison

Debbie trained and worked as a Doctor in the North of England before moving with her husband and young family to Aotearoa in 2008.

She has been a partner in a general practice in the Victory area of Nelson since 2010. She is a forensic medical examiner and has a special interest in refugee medicine, youth and women's health. She is a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of GPs.

Debbie is passionate about equity in healthcare and believes that the most important factor in providing quality general practice is the development of relationships. She feels it is a privilege to work as a GP and to be able to help people through all aspects of their life journey.

Debbie's interests outside of work revolve around her family, there is never a dull moment with three teenagers and a dog at home! She enjoys tramping and running in the hills around beautiful Nelson Tasman.
