Nelson Bays Primary Health (NBPH) is the Primary Health Organisation (PHO) for the Nelson Tasman region. NBPH leads and coordinates a range of primary health care services through its contracted General Practices and other Primary providers e.g. Māori Providers, NGOs and Volunteer organisations in the delivery of the Primary Health Care Strategy.

An exciting opportunity has become available in our Richmond based office for the following role:
Specialist Rheumatologist- Rheumatology Service
This is a rare opportunity for a Rheumatology Specialist to join our dedicated, innovative and friendly community-based team in Sunny Nelson/Tasman. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and support of clinical care across the community, triaging referrals and providing upskilling to General Practitioners during clinics held across the Nelson and Marlborough regions. Experience in a primary health care setting is preferred but not essential.
About you:
Vocational registration in internal medicine (Rheumatology) with NZMC, or have completed higher training in rheumatology and eligible to apply for registration with NZMC to work as a specialist
Current certificate of completion, RACP MyCPD or equivalent certification of continuing medical education
Where required, additional training and support will be provided for the successful applicant.
