This service will help with:

Falls Prevention is a free service provided to you if you are over 65 years, have a falls risk and can answer yes to any of these questions:

  • Have you had a fall in the past 12 months?

  • Are you on 4 or more medications?

  • Do you have a fear of falling?

More Stable, More Able Programme

This is a free 2.5 hour session for anyone who is at risk of or has had a fall. Information is shared in a relaxed, informal group setting.

The topics covered are:

  • Helping you to maintain independence

  • Causes of falling

  • Focus on strength and balance exercises

  • Community strength and balance classes

  • Making your home safer

  • How to maintain bone strength

  • Eating well to stay on your feet

To access the service, you will be referred by your general practice (family doctor) or community agency.
