Lactation Consultant and Breastfeeding Support

The Nelson Bays Primary Health Lactation Consultant offers specialised support and advice to whānau and health professionals across primary and secondary care in the Nelson Bays region.

This service will help with:

• The Lactation Consultant assists women with breastfeeding issues where a health professional involved in your care requests further input. Appointments are provided to you one on one, either in the hospital or community

How to access the service:

To access the service, you will be referred by your general practice (family doctor), Midwife, Well Child/Tamaraki Ora Nurse or other Health Professional.
