Brenda Wraight

Brenda has many years’ experience in the health and education sectors, with not-for-profits, NGOs, as well senior leadership roles in the public health sector. She is an independent consultant, with particular interest and involvement in improving equity and access to good quality health care and support in primary and community as well as hospital settings across Aotearoa New Zealand and the wider western pacific region.

With post graduate qualifications in educational psychology, and a member of the Institute of Directors, Brenda is also a member of the national Maternity and Midwifery Provider Organisation Board, the National Lottery Community Committee, and the National Lottery Outdoor Safety Committee.

Brenda’s commitment to the Nelson Tasman region is long standing, having held numerous voluntary roles in the community including in health, education, disability, and sporting areas. With a passion for the region's wonderful natural environment, Brenda’s happy place is walking in the hills and national parks on our doorstep, yoga sessions, and being out on the water sailing.

Brenda was appointed to the NBPH Board in December 2023 as a Community Representative.
